As before, the EPA estimates 31 mpg combined for the front-wheel-drive Seltos and 29 mpg when equipped with all-wheel drive. The X-Line with its off-road look is expected to get slightly better fuel economy than the rest of the lineup.
While the Seltos isn’t designed to be an off-road warrior, it does have more ground clearance than a Honda HR-V and more than a Jeep Compass. Its 7.3 inches of clearance is enough to clear a minor obstacle or negotiate a snowy driveway, but it’s not built to tackle the Rubicon Trail.
