It uses all three motors to move the vehicle forward, and it will also apply the brakes for you if it detects an object ahead. This feature is activated via the redesigned myGMC app, and it’s available on all models of the EV SUV.
The SUV also has a 300-kilowatt maximum DC fast charger that can add 100 miles of range in 14 minutes. It also has a Level 2 charger that delivers 120-volt, 25 amps of power to run accessories and charge your phone. Unlike the pickup version, the EV SUV isn’t rated by the EPA. But GMC says it can get up to 250 miles on a single charge, and that’s plenty for the average commute.

GMC has also included a range display that shows how many miles of the range remains, and if it’s getting low, the SUV will alert you to find a charging station. It can also use the available vehicle-to-vehicle charging to power another EV. That’s a useful feature to have when you’re out camping or on an epic adventure. The redesigned myGMC app also provides trail mapping and an optional Power Station generator that can turn your Hummer into a backup power source on the trails.
